Back on the boat for the summer and my first job is to drag out the dinghy and give it an annual clean up. It's looking quite useable by the time I've finished and the cabin boy and I take it for a test row in the Biesbosch.
We've anchored Lady Alison and our excursion takes us briefly out of sight of the mother ship and, like an anxious parent, I am relieved to see it still in the same place when we return. Anchoring for a picnic or on board bbq is one of the nicest things to do when the weather's hot, but as we see storm clouds gathering once more to the west, we decided to head back to the harbour before the gales come (which they do.)
