This region comprises a large area of land and although it has relatively fewer waterways than other areas of the country, it offers some rewarding cruising. The Vecht is regarded as one of the most beautiful rivers in the Netherlands and, together with the Rijn and the Gelderse IJssel it makes a popular circuit.
